What Is IRLHost? (And What It Is Not)
IRLHost is a private SRT relay server for IRL streamers — sitting between your encoder and your OBS at home. Learn exactly what it is, what it includes, and how it works.

What IRLHost is — and what it is not
Most IRL streamers start the same way: a phone app sending straight to Twitch or Kick. No relay, no OBS, nothing in between. It works fine until your mobile signal dips, and then the stream freezes or drops with no warning.
IRLHost is a cloud-hosted SRT relay that sits between your phone and your platform. It bonds your WiFi and mobile data into one stronger connection, so a single bad signal does not take your stream down. There are two ways to run it. On IRLHost Plus, the relay hands your stream to your own OBS at home over a public address, no port forwarding needed. On IRLHost Pro, IRLHost also runs OBS for you in the cloud, so there is no home PC involved at all.
Phone/encoder → IRLHost relay → OBS (yours, or ours on Pro) → Twitch/Kick/YouTube
Either way, IRLHost is the layer that keeps a shaky connection from ending your stream. It is not a hardware box, not a different streaming app, and not something you need a home PC to use — that is only true if you pick Plus.

What IRLHost is not
There is some confusion online between IRLHost.gg and other services. A few things to clear up:
- IRLHost.gg is not irlhosting.com — irlhosting.com is a separate, unrelated company offering Cloud OBS at $30–$80+/month. IRLHost.gg is a different product from €11.99/month + VAT.
- IRLHost does not require you to already have OBS set up — Pro streamers never touch OBS at all since it runs in the cloud. On Plus, you just add a simple Media Source pointing at your relay — no port forwarding or complicated networking needed.
- IRLHost Plus is relay-only, not Cloud OBS — on Plus you still need your own PC with OBS (or Streamlabs or vMix) to send to your platform. If you want IRLHost to run OBS for you, that is what Pro is for, not a separate product.
- IRLHost is not a hardware product — nothing to buy or ship. It works with your existing phone or encoder.
What IRLHost includes
Every IRLHost server includes:
- Private SRT/SRTLA relay
- Codec-agnostic relay — passes through H.265/HEVC if your phone and app support it
- SRTLA connection bonding — combine multiple connections (WiFi + mobile data or hotspot share from another phone.) for maximum stability
- Automatic scene switching via IRLHost Link — BRB scene when your signal drops, Live scene when it recovers
- Twitch and Kick chat commands (!start, !stop, !bitrate, !stats, !fix and more)
- Real-time stream health dashboard — bitrate, RTT, packet loss, uptime
- IRLHost Link desktop app — OBS crash alerts and remote PC control via chat
- EU servers on 100% green energy
- No port forwarding required
Who is IRLHost for?
IRLHost is for IRL streamers who want a stable, professional stream without babysitting their connection. Most people using it today are streaming straight from a phone app with no OBS at all — IRLHost bonds their connection so they are less likely to drop in the first place. If you already run OBS at home, IRLHost also removes the need to port forward your router. And if your signal does drop out, IRLHost Link keeps your Twitch or Kick stream live by switching to a BRB scene until you reconnect, whether that is running on your own PC (Plus) or built into your cloud instance (Pro).
It works with any encoder that supports SRT or SRTLA — Moblin, IRL Pro, Larix, Belabox hardware, OBS Studio, FFmpeg, and more.
How much does IRLHost cost?
IRLHost Plus costs €11.99/month + VAT. Everything included. No setup fees, no contracts, cancel anytime. Your server is typically ready within a few minutes after signing up.
IRLHost Pro is €29.99/month + VAT and adds a cloud OBS instance — no home PC required.
How is IRLHost different from Belabox Cloud?
Belabox Cloud is primarily a bonding relay. IRLHost is a full relay with SRTLA bonding, codec-agnostic passthrough, scene switching, chat integration, and stream monitoring built in. Many streamers use Belabox hardware as their encoder and IRLHost as their relay — the two work well together.
